LARRY SASSER

Larry Sasser is a native of Montgomery, an Auburn graduate and the Operating Partner at Sasser & O’Rear, LLC. Mr. Sasser attended Jones Law School and began practicing law in 2002 after joining the Alabama State Bar and the Montgomery County Bar. Before his legal career, Mr. Sasser was a Senior Insurance Adjuster with Fountain, Keat, Sanders and Associates.

In 2019, Mr. Sasser became Montgomery’s Newest Municipal Judge. Along with his role as Judge and Law Firm Partner, he currently serves on the Supreme Court of Alabama Juvenile Rules Committee, serves as a contract attorney for the Montgomery County Juvenile Court, as Legal Counsel for Xtreme Outdoors Ministry and was a former President of Montgomery County Claims Association.

Mr. Sasser is highly experienced in representing clients that are involved in Criminal Law proceedings in circuit and juvenile courts, Domestic Relations matters such as Divorce, as well as Juvenile Court matters such as Custody Disputes. He is also an experienced and successful Personal Injury Attorney.

When Mr. Sasser is not advocating for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing and coaching various youth Ballgames.

WILL O'REAR

Will G. O’Rear is a partner of Sasser & O’Rear, LLC. Mr. O’Rear, a former Circuit Judge of the 15th Judicial Circuit Family Court Division of Montgomery, Alabama, has an extensive background in the mental health profession that allows him to bring a unique perspective to the legal profession. His sensitivity and kindness towards his clients have caused him to receive numerous referrals throughout his legal career.

Mr. O’Rear serves as the Director of the Samaritan Family Mediation Services; has served as Past President of The Alabama National Alliance for the Mentally Ill; Past President of The Board of Mental Health America Montgomery; is a member of Leadership Montgomery (Class of 2003) and the Kiwanis Club. Mr. O’Rear established and presided over Project TRAIN, the State of Alabama’s only co-occurring Juvenile Mental Health Court project (15th Judicial Circuit of Alabama, Family Court).

Mr. O’Rear received his B.A. in Psychology from Auburn University; his M.S. in Counseling from Troy University Montgomery; and his J.D. from Jones School of Law. Prior to his appointment by Governor Riley, as a Montgomery County Circuit Judge in the Family Court Division, Mr. O’Rear served as Legal Counsel and Mental Health Coordinator for the Montgomery County Probate Office. Mr. O’Rear has extensive experience in the area of domestic relations, Custody, Divorce, Mediation, Elder Car Law, Mental Health and Probate Law, Wills, Trust, Estates in addition to experience in individual and group counseling, crisis intervention and involuntary commitment.

When Mr. O’Rear is not advocating for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and playing guitar.
